Ladies, Start your engines!

Startup Checklist

Staying on top of the maintenence of your bike is crucial to your safety and a fun ride.

Here is a simple checklist that should be done every time your bike will be out on the road.

  • Tires

Check the pressure and condition of the tires.  Look for wet or dry rot. Thread should

be at least 2/32 of an inch. If you have spoke wheels, the spokes should be checked

                        for tightness.

  • Lights

Check the headlight, running lights, turn signals and break lights to make sure they

                        are all working properly.

  •  Fluid Levels

Start the bike and warm it up. Fluid levels should be checked while the bike is hot, as

                         per the service manual.

  • Battery

The battery should have no leaks or corrosion at the terminals. It should be at

full charge.  As a general rule, your battery should be no more than 2 years old.
